Nursery school applications

Nursery schools are child welfare facilities for preschool children whose parents or guardians can not take care of their children at home because of job or illness.
We will accept Nursery school applications for 2010 school year from Dec. 15, 2009.

Eligibility for Applicants

Apllicants (your children) must be born from April 2nd 2004 to February 3rd 2010.

Application

Please submit “Nursery School Application Form” and required documents to Children’s Welfare Division. Required documents vary with individuals, so please inquire in advance.
※An Application guidebook and Application form will be distributed at children’s Welfare Division in Wako City Hall and each Nursery School from November 11th. You can also download them from the website of Wako City. (Written in Japanese)

Application Period(First period)

From Tuesday 15th to Monday 28th of December, 2009
   ※Opening Hours: From Monday to Friday, 9:00-16:30
   Note: We will accept the applications on following days. :
   1.  Sat. 19th December（9:00-12:00） 
   2.　Sun. 27th December (9:00-16:30)
   3.  Tue. 22nd December (9:00-20:00)

Result of first screening

The announcements of the result will be sent to all applicants by mail. We are planning to mail out the announcements on Feb. 22nd, 2010.

Result of second screening

The announcements of the result will be sent by mail to applicants who are permitted to enter a nursery school. We are planning to mail out the announcements on Mar. 15th, 2010. 

Notes　

※If each nursery school has the vacancy, it will recruit children to fill the vacancy　during the Second period of application. The second period of application will start from January 4th, 2010.（Closing date is February 26th ,2010）.
※If you can’t come to Wako City Hall by 28th December, 2009, please contact Nursery Care Section of Children Welfare Div.
※If you would like to apply for a nursery school in other city than Wako City, please inquire each city in advance. Closing date and required documents will be different from those of Wako City. Some cities put restrictions on permission to enter nursery school from other city’s citizens.
