Ms. Barbara Lancaster (A professional artist and a member of the Longview sister city commission) proposed watercolor workshop and wanted to communicate with Wako citizens through painting during her stay in Wako.
Human Rights and Cultural Affairs Division organized Watercolor Workshop with her request at Chuo public Hall (Meeting Room 2) on April 2, 2010.
We announced workshop through Wako City Website to invite participants, and eight citizens participated in it.
They chose one of the four types of sketches, and leaning painting techniques such as “wet on wet” or “wet on dry”, they accomplished their work.
All the participants enjoyed painting and Ms. Barbara Lancaster was impressed very much to enhance a beautiful relationship with Wako citizens!
